And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
Contemplation
When the Lord our God desires to shake things, everything will definitely be moved. Just the thought of the Lord to make things move, is strong enough to cause a serious shaking. Once again, the word of the Lord from verse 7 says,
“And I will shake all nations and the
desire and the precious things of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts.”
It is amazing when the Lord desires to shake nations, not one will be left untouched. That is why the Lord made it clear that all nations will be shaken. With man or any other creature, this will only happen as far as they can make the difference, but it is only as much as they can go. If the Lord said all, it will definitely be all nations. The word went on to say,
“and the desire and the precious things of all nations shall come in,” Hallelujah! By virtue of the decree of the Lord, things are completely changed. Some are seen as desire and some others are seen as precious things of all nations that are made to fall in place by the doing of the Lord. When this takes place, the Lord said “… and I will fill this house with splendor, says the Lord of hosts.” When the manifestation is far beyond the common, the word of the Lord calls it splendor. So great is the glory revealed that beats the imagination of man. Hallelujah!
The Spirit of the Lord went on to say in verse 8,
“The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts.”
From one dimension of glory to another, the presence of the Lord has made a glorious difference.
It went on to say in verse 9,
“The latter glory of this house [with its successor, to which Jesus came] shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace and prosperity, says the Lord of hosts.”
This definitely revealed to us that the glory of the Lord Jesus which is the latter glory, was spoken of far before it came to pass and the dimensions is beyond words. What a manifestation of the former and the latter glory spoken of here. To our God be all the praise and the glory as it is now being captured live. Thank you for all you have done for us. I am grateful Lord.
Practical issues
The unfolding of the former and the latter glory makes a huge difference. We are standing in the midst of a glory greater than all we can imagine or think. May we never miss out in the release of this glory in Jesus mighty name. Shalom!
